Additive manufacturing (AM) techniques are increasingly being used to fabricate three-dimensional ceramic parts. One of the industry needs is to increase the printed part size. Vat photopolymerization (stereolithography) has been shown to be a promising process technology to achieve this. One the key challenges is to realize consistent part quality. The talk presents our research efforts to approach this challenge. Specifically, the research investigates the stereo lithography process, the recoating process, equipment feedback control, and the mechanical properties of the printed part.
